Havahart® 25,000 Facebook Fan Party: Recipes

Posted by Havahart® on Dec 27, 2011

On April 4, 2011, Havahart® began the "Havahart Gives Back!" Facebook initiative. The goal was to raise $2,500.00 for American Humane Association by donating $.10 for each new fan the Havahart® Facebook Page received. We are thrilled to announce that, on December 23, 2011, the Facebook page reached this goal!

We celebrated the Havahart® Facebook Page reaching our goal of raising $2,500 for American Humane Association by throwing a party! Below are the recipes for the food from this party — all resembling woodland critters!

All of the food was delicious, and we encourage you to try these recipes!

  1. Cream together oreos and cream cheese.
  2. Form into balls.

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2½ cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup beer (pretty much anything but a light beer)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (I substituted 2 teaspoons dried)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the cream cheese, mustard, cheddar cheese, cream, and salt in a food processor.
  2. Process for 30 seconds, add the beer, and continue processing until very smooth.
  3. Pulse in the parsley until just dispersed.
  4. This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You will want to take it out an hour before serving if you do refrigerate.
