I’ve decided that rabbits are nature’s most damaging force of all! Worse than frost or strong winds, those "cute" bunnies can mow down an entire row of beans in one night. And they just keep coming back!
Like me, you’ve probably tried lots of crazy rabbit-proof gardening methods to keep rabbits out of your garden. Planting marigolds near the veggies? Sprinkling baby powder around the perimeter? Nothing really works! A couple years ago, I even put a four-foot high wire fence around my whole garden. That was keeping the rabbits out of my garden, but was not the most attractive addition to my backyard. Plus it was a hassle to put up, mow around and store all winter. There had to be a better way to repel rabbits from my garden!
Things have changed around here thanks to DeFence! This wonder spray has really helped to repel rabbits from my garden! It’s made from all-natural ingredients; completely organic and safe for all my veggies and flowers; and one application lasts for almost three months. Best of all, the critters hate it. So no more weird remedies or ugly fences for me. I just spray and they stay away!

Good thing I haven’t planted a Garden, for the last 2yrs.Cause of health problems. Behind me is miles & miles of hills, with a few Ranches. We had all kinds of ‘Wild’ live, even with the building of the HUGE houses, some manged to hang on, for awile. With new owers came ‘pets’ as easy meals, as a ‘Rescue’ group we had meetings, posted fliers, warning everyone of the dangers to their pets. Many didn’t belive us & we saw more & more signs of ‘Lost’ pets, now we see a few a month.
Rabbits started coming into our yard, they were so cute, we started feeding them, sorry ‘Julie’. Maybe next yr. I’ll plant a Garden, thanks for your tip, does it work for ‘squirrels’ also? We have so many of them around, on both sides are huge ‘Pine’ Trees, they eat the cones & drop them on your head..LOL. This yr. they got al of our ‘Peaches’ & ‘Apicorts’, I even watched them stealing every last one, the ‘Brats.
Does anyone have tips on wild Rabbits,we’ve been feeding them ‘pellets’ & carrots. A Lady from a comapany that sold all kinds of food, said that, ‘carrots’ wern’t good for Rabbits, she also wanted me to buy ‘her’ food that was very expenisive. I told her over & over ‘they are Wild Rabbits’, she keep pushing her co.’s food. I feed my dogs & cats ‘Premium’ food, but $7.00 a lb. for wild Rabbits, is more then I can afford. I’v tryed other ‘greens & fruit’ some they eat, some they don’t. We have 5 Dessert Tortises,,, I share what I pick up with both of them.
Thenks for your ‘Traps’ our Rescue Group have used them to trap & spay, many ‘Feral cats’, for yrs.
Hi Pegi!
Sounds like you live in a beautiful place and have a ton of wildlife around your place! We’re happy to hear you’re warning your neighbors about the dangers to pets and using the traps to have feral cats spayed and neutered. Great to hear! We’d love to see some photos of the area! Feel free to share them on the “Share” tab of this community.
As for your squirrel issue: DeFence is typically successful in repelling both rabbits and deer. If squirrels are the nuisance animal in your yard, we’d suggest using some Critter Ridder to keep them away from any areas they are disturbing. You can learn more about squirrels and how to repel them in our Critter Library.
We wish you the best of luck with all that wildlife!
